This classic company's most popular yacht since 1978, a factory fire destroyed the molds in the late 90's and this Island Gypsy is one of the last vessel to be built in the Yardway Marine Hong Kong Yard. This 1997 Island Gypsy Semi -Displacement Flush Aft Deck Yacht is heavily built, long range cruiser with traditional trawler style profile has a spacious interior with an elegant blend of Burmese teak woodwork and quality finishes. The 44 has a fairly high freeboard, hard chines, a prop protecting full length keel.
This Island Gypsy has been extensively updated and lovingly maintained. Installed and upgraded NEMA 2000 network expanded 6/2019, Installed Garmin GMR-24xHD 4kw Radar in 2019, Garmin hydraulic autopilot (cylinder rebuilt in 2019, installed Rudder angle indicator ,new in 2019, Sirius XM marine weather receiver ( antenna new in 2019), additional GPS chart plotter at lower steering station.. She comes equipped with a crane on the flybridge for RIB storage and a Davit on transom to accommodate an Avon 11 foot RIB with 2015 Yamaha 20HP electric start outboard. Fuel Tanks checked and fuel polished in 2019.
