A super-popular model, the Carver 500 Cockpit MY (called the Carver 504 in 1999/2000) is a cockpit version of the Carver 455/456 Aft Cabin with additional fuel. Beginning with the original maple interior of the 500 and continuing in the revised interior found in the 504 model, the galley is aft in the salon rather than forward as it is in most motoryachts this size. This floorplan makes it easier to access the galley from the aft deck and bridge, while at the same time pushing the salon seating and entertaining areas forward. In the original Carver 500 model, a folding bulkhead in the VIP cabin conceals a small guest stateroom/den to port with convertible bunk beds. (By leaving the bulkhead open, the space becomes part of the forward stateroom.) A sliding door in the master stateroom opens to the cockpit with its molded boarding steps and walk-thru transom door. The large U-shaped galley has a new NOVAL COOL fridge in 2020, Kenyon 3 burner stove, Sharp convection microwave oven, trash compactor, solid surface counters, and tons of storage. Additional features include an extra large tub/shower in the forward head, double bunk mid stateroom that converts to a small office, and a true dinette area in the salon space.
The grand salon and dining areas are very spacious, open and airy. It and the dining area are tastefully decorated and comfortable for all aboard. The salon has an L shaped settee to starboard which converts to a double berth and has a recliner. The dining area is forward of the galley to port and has a Flexsteel table and two chairs. The Galley aboard is well equipped and the all one level salon/galley make for fantastic entertaining. Master Stateroom and Head The master stateroom and head can be found aft of the main salon and includes a walk around queen bed, 3 cedar-lined hanging lockers, built in drawers and a rear entrance to the aft cockpit. The owner is sure to feel at home with a custom queen mattress and tasteful décor. In the master head, there are separate compartments for the stall shower and the toilet. Aft is the functional cockpit with a walk-thru transom door, an oversized integral swim platform and direct access to the master stateroom (a very convenient feature lacking in most cockpit yachts). Aft of the integral swim platform there is a hydraulic platform for the yachts tender as well as facilitating easy swimming and diving. From the cockpit, you proceed up the stairs into a fully enclosed sundeck. This spacious deck area features wing doors to side decks, wet bar with liquor storage, icemaker and built-in refrigerator. On the starboard side, up 3 stairs, is the fully enclosed Flybridge. The Flybridge is the center of command and is comfortably arranged with a walk around helm console, ample seating, and plenty of storage. The walk ways fore and aft are spacious with hand rails.
