Kindred Spirit is a cat ketch with unstayed carbon fiber masts made by Tillotson Pearson.
The half wishbone booms are laminated mahogany sealed with epoxy and white Awlgrip paint.
Schafer blocks are used through out.
The main and mizzen sails are by Hathaway and Ratsey in good shape and crisp. The mizzen staysail is by North and original, little used and in good shape. The original North sails will also be included.

The hull and decks are white Awlgrip with blue bottom. The fiberglass hull and decks are Airex cored with white non-skid. It has a fin keel with a skeg hung rudder. there are bow and stern pulpits with double lifelines with boarding gates to port and starboard.
The roomy cockpit features wheel steering with Raymarine ST4000 autopilot and Raymarine wind, speed and depth instruments. There is a folding cockpit table mounted on the pedestal. There are two large cockpit lockers and a full set of cockpit cushions, dinghy outboard motor mount and swim ladder.
At the bow there is an anchor plank with a CQR anchor with 200' of rode. Sunbrella covers protect the teak hatches, companionway, and teak handrails.

Kindred Spirit sleeps a total of 5 in two cabins with 2 forward on a V berth and 3 in the main cabin on port and starboard settees. The interior is very spacious and is constructed of Honduran Oak. The upolstery is blue fabric. Headroom is 6'2". She is bright and airy with 4 opening deck hatches (including the companionway) and 10 opening ports.
The V berth is forward with storage under and above on outboard shelves. An overhead hatch provides ventilation along with 2 opening ports with rainguards.
The athwartships head is next aft with the marine toilet to port with hanging and storage in a locker outboard. To starboard a vanity with storage under and over and pressure hot and cold water. Privacy doors separate the head from both cabins, an ideal arragement for 2 couples.
The main salon is amidships with port and starboard settees with storage under both to port and starboard. There is more storage above and outboard to port and starboard and a drop leaf table with 3 drawers. There is a cabin stereo system.
The U shaped galley aft to port with double sink with storage under and hot and cold pressure water; top loading ice box; two burner propane stove with oven. Outboard there is storage for dishes and a utensile draw.
The nav station is directly opposite to starboard with chart table and strorage under and further aft a place to stow life jackets and gear.

Kindred Spirit is a comfortable easy to sail coastal cruiser. Spacious and bright below with a large and well laid out cockpit, it's well suited for the cruising couple or the active family.
The large main cabin is perfect for a night on the hook or a afternoon nap at the slip. The separate V berth and athwartships head allow privacy for all. The U shaped galley makes meal prep easy and efficent. There is ample storage throughout and the full size nav station is convenient to the cockpit.
The Herreshoff 31 sails well on all points but really shines off the wind. Up wind don't pinch and she will find her groove and make steady progress. The modern fin keel underbody helps her efficency upwind and easy to turn.
This boat is easy to single hand. There are no winches and none are needed. Both sheets can be handled from the wheel. Additionally, since both sails have booms there is no jib flapping or sheets whipping about the cockpit during a tack. Tacking is easy. Simply turn the wheel to the opposite tack and the sails obediently follow. You will wonder why all saiboats aren't designed like this!
